About Shraddha Creation
Poured by hand in Rajkot, one small batch at a time
Every candle on this shop is melted, poured, carved, trimmed and boxed by the same few pairs of hands. No factory, no white-label, no minimum you have to hit before we take you seriously. This is who we are and how a candle actually gets made here.

Our story
A kitchen table, a single mould, and a lot of wax on the floor
Shraddha Creation started with one rose mould and a saucepan of wax on a kitchen table in Rajkot. The first batch stuck to the mould. The second cracked down the middle. The third went to a neighbour, who came back a week later asking for six more - and that is the entire business plan we have ever had.
We still pour by hand, in small batches, because it is the only way to keep the carved detail sharp. A laddu candle has ridges a machine flattens. A rose has petal edges that need the wax to be at the right temperature for about ninety seconds. You cannot rush either of those, and every time we have tried, the batch went to the family instead of to the shop.
Slight differences in colour and finish between two pieces of the same candle are not defects. They are how you know a person made it. What does not vary is the fragrance load, the wax and the wick - those are recorded per design, so the candle you liked last Diwali is the candle that arrives next Diwali.
How it is made
Five steps, every one of them by hand
Start to finish, a batch takes about two days - most of which is the candle sitting still and being left alone.
- 1
Wax and fragrance
Soy wax weighed, melted to temperature, fragrance stirred in at the load recorded for that design. Weighed, not eyeballed.
- 2
The pour
Wick centred, wax poured in one go. A carved mould gets about ninety seconds at the right temperature before the detail stops taking.
- 3
The cure
Left alone overnight, then two days more. Curing is what makes the scent carry when you light it rather than only when you open the box.
- 4
Trim and check
Wick trimmed to 5mm, base levelled, edges cleaned. Anything with a crack or a sunk top goes to the seconds pile and never to the shop.
- 5
Packed for the post
Wrapped, boxed and packed to survive a courier who has never handled wax before. This is the step we redid the most times.
What we care about
Four things we do not cut corners on
Soy wax and cotton wicks
No paraffin. Soy burns cooler and cleaner, and a cotton wick does not need a metal core to stand up straight.
A fragrance load we can defend
Enough to fill a room, not enough to give you a headache. It is recorded per design so it is the same every batch.
Nothing shipped that we would not gift
Every piece is looked at before it is boxed. Cracks, sunk tops and short wicks stay here.
Packed to arrive whole
Wax cracks, glass chips and couriers do not read labels. If it arrives broken, tell us and we make it right.
